FAQ
AfterLead questions, answered
What does AfterLead actually do?
AfterLead is a 24/7 appointment-setting system for inbound leads. Every new lead gets SMS, email, and an AI phone call in parallel, within seconds of arriving, then conversational follow-up for 30 days until they book or tell us to stop. The AI answers every inbound call live, books on your calendar, and hands the lead to your team the moment a person is needed. We install it and run it for you.
In seconds. On every channel. For 30 days.

- First touch under 15 seconds
- Three channels at once
- 30 days of follow-up
- Every inbound call answered

How the system works
What actually happens to a lead from the second it arrives to the day it reaches an end state. How it works, step by step
Within seconds of a lead arriving (the spec is under 15 seconds from lead arrival to first outbound contact), AfterLead fires the first touch on every channel the lead's details allow: SMS, email, and an AI phone call, in parallel. Not a "we got your message" autoresponder: the AI voice agent is dialing to hold a real conversation, qualify, and book while interest is highest.
For 30 days, across voice, SMS, and email together, until the lead books, replies, opts out, no-shows, goes cold, gets disqualified, or needs a human. Follow-up runs on the timing rules configured for your business, not a generic cadence, and it honors the lead's revealed channel preference: reply by text once and the follow-up stays on text.
The AI answers, live, 24/7. There is no voicemail dead end and no "missed call" to chase, because the call never goes unanswered. On the call it answers simple questions and nudges toward a booking, and because every channel runs on one brain, it remembers the text when it answers the call.
Three things go out immediately: a confirmation message, a calendar invite, and meeting instructions. Reminders fire 24 hours and 1 hour before the start time. If the lead no-shows, AfterLead re-engages, offers new times, rebooks, and re-fires the full confirmation, invite, instructions, and reminder track for the new slot.
Conversationally. It answers whatever the lead actually asks (pricing, services, timing) and nudges toward booking, gathering qualifying signals as the conversation runs. There is no questionnaire, because leads hang up on questionnaires.
Every lead reaches a defined end state: booked and showed, rebooked and showed after a no-show, handed to a human, disqualified (logged in your CRM, no further outreach), opted out, or marked unrecoverable after capped reattempts. Nothing sits in limbo, and your CRM shows which ending each lead got.
Four entry points: a web form, an inbound call, a paid ad, or a CRM sync. Wherever the lead enters, the same system works it.
The AI (and the robotic question)
The single biggest question we hear, answered honestly, plus how one agent stays consistent across three channels. Inside the AI voice agents
Natural enough that the honest answer is "judge it yourself." It holds a real back-and-forth: it answers questions, handles interruptions, and books on the call. Sounds like a human, works like an AI. The demo form exists so you never have to take that on faith: submit it and the AI calls you.
Yes, one agent with one memory across voice, SMS, and email. It remembers the text when it answers the call. That is also why follow-up never feels like three tools talking past each other: nothing gets asked twice and nothing gets lost between channels.
It hands off instead of improvising. If a lead asks for a person, sounds frustrated or confused, asks something outside the AI's configured scope, shows high intent, or raises pricing beyond what the AI is configured to answer, the system flags the lead, alerts your team by text and email, updates your CRM, and pauses on that lead until a human steps in.
No, because persistent is not the same as spammy. The cadence follows your configured timing rules, the AI answers real questions instead of blasting scripts, and follow-up stops the moment a lead books, replies, opts out, or goes cold. Opting out takes one STOP text, one unsubscribe click, or just telling the AI to stop.
It answers from what we configure for your business during install: your services, your pricing (to the depth you approve), your service area, your booking rules. Anything outside that scope triggers a handoff to your team rather than a guess.
Setup and integration
What the white-glove install asks of you, what it connects to, and who runs the system after launch. Browse supported integrations
Around 3 hours of your time across about 1 to 2 weeks. You tell us how you qualify leads, what the AI may say about pricing, and where appointments should land. We do the rest: connect your lead sources, CRM, calendar, phone, and email, configure and test the conversations, then go live and keep tuning.
Supported CRMs today include GoHighLevel, HubSpot, Salesforce, ServiceTitan, Jobber, Housecall Pro, Pipedrive, Close, Zoho, and ActiveCampaign, with Google Calendar, Outlook Calendar, and Cal.com on the scheduling side. That list is what we connect most often, not the limit of what we work with. If your CRM is not on it, we can most likely still integrate with it: book a demo and we will confirm your stack on the call.
No. AfterLead works on top of the stack you already run. Leads keep landing where they land today; AfterLead reads them from there, works them, and writes every touch, status change, and outcome back so your CRM stays the source of truth.
We do. Monitoring, conversation quality checks, and ongoing optimization are part of the service, not a settings page you are left to manage. When your offer, pricing, or calendar rules change, tell us and we update the configuration.
A full conversation timeline for every lead: every call, text, and email, every status change, and the end state, logged in your CRM. "What happened to that lead?" always has a complete answer.
Compliance and consent
Consent-first is how the system is built, not a policy bolted on afterward. The details, plainly. Our security and consent posture
It is, when consent is handled properly, and consent-first is how AfterLead is built. The system works only inbound leads who opted in to hear from your business, honors opt-outs instantly on every channel, and is built for US calling and texting rules (including TCPA consent requirements and A2P 10DLC registration for texting). This is not legal advice; our security page details the posture, and your counsel should confirm your own forms and flows.
Never. AfterLead only works leads who asked to hear from you: people who filled out your form, called you, or opted in through your ads or CRM. Inbound, opted in, no cold outreach, no scraped or purchased lists.
Any of three ways: reply STOP to a text, unsubscribe from an email, or simply tell the AI to stop contacting them. The lead is logged as opted out in your CRM and all outreach ends immediately on every channel.
Our own demo does not hide it: the consent language on the form states that the calls use an AI voice, before the AI ever dials, and leads book anyway. Disclosure rules vary by state, so how disclosure is worded for your business is part of the install conversation, and your counsel gets the final word on your forms and flows.
Your leads stay your leads. AfterLead uses their data to work them on your behalf, syncs everything to your CRM, and does not sell or reuse it. The security page covers data handling and subprocessors in detail.
Pricing, guarantee, and fit
What it costs, how the guarantee is measured, and who the system is honestly built for. Estimate what leakage costs you
Our guarantee
More booked calls than your current process, or your money back. Measured against the baseline we benchmark before launch.
Pricing is sized to your lead volume, locations, and integrations on a demo call, after we map your lead flow. We would rather quote an exact number for your actual stack than publish a range that is wrong for half the businesses reading it. The guarantee below applies either way.
More booked calls than your current process, or your money back. It is measured against your own baseline: before launch we benchmark how your current process performs, so "more" means more than what you were actually getting, not more than a vague promise. If the system does not beat your baseline, you get your money back.
AfterLead is built for US businesses with real inbound lead flow, typically spending $3,000 or more a month on lead generation; $1,000 a month is the practical floor. Below that, the math rarely justifies a managed system and we will say so. On the high end, volume is what the system is for: every lead gets worked the same whether ten arrive today or a thousand.
Different shape of cost, and the comparison is bigger than salary. A human setter works one channel at a time, on shift, and takes their training with them when they quit. AfterLead books appointments without hiring anyone: it works every lead in seconds, on every channel, for 30 days, at any hour. Run your own numbers rather than trusting ours: the lead leakage calculator uses your inputs.
Commercial terms are scoped with your plan on the demo call. What is fixed regardless of terms: before launch we benchmark your current process, the guarantee is measured against that baseline, and continuing is a decision the numbers should make for you.
Working with your team
Where your people fit: takeovers, escalations, and what is left on your plate day to day. How human takeover works
When a takeover trigger fires, the system flags the lead, alerts your team by SMS and email, updates the CRM, and pauses on that lead (no filler messages from the AI while it waits). Your person then picks the mode: take the lead over fully and work it end to end, or send one reply and let the AI resume the qualification and booking dialog from where it paused.
No, it feeds them. AfterLead does the chasing, qualifying, and booking so your closers walk into conversations with qualified, scheduled leads. The moment a lead genuinely needs a human (or is hot enough to deserve one), it is routed to your team.
High-intent signals: urgency in what the lead says, or signs of high deal value. Those trigger the same takeover flow as a request for a person, so your team gets to the biggest opportunities while they are live.
Yes. Qualification questions, disqualification rules, pricing scope, and booking rules are configuration, not code. Tell us what changed and we update and re-test it as part of the ongoing service.
Show up to booked appointments, and respond when the system escalates a lead to them. Everything else (first touch, follow-up, answering inbound calls, booking, reminders, rebooking, CRM logging) is the system's job. That is the point.
