This notice explains how Meshly LLC, doing business as AfterLead (“AfterLead”, “we”, “us”), collects, uses, and shares personal information. We try to keep it plain so you can actually read it. AfterLead is a United States business that serves customers and their leads in the United States; the website, demo, and service are not directed to individuals in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom.

Got a text, email, or call from AfterLead? The short version:

1.Who we are and what this covers

AfterLead is an AI appointment-setting service. We help businesses respond to and follow up with their inbound leads across SMS, email, and phone, qualify them, book appointments, and answer inbound calls. This notice covers three groups of people:

  • Visitors to afterlead.ai and users of app.afterlead.ai
  • Customers: the businesses that subscribe to the AfterLead service
  • Leads: people whose information our customers connect to AfterLead so we can follow up on the customer’s behalf

Your rights depend on which group you are in, because we handle information in two different roles. Section 3 explains the difference.

2.If a business contacted you using AfterLead

If AfterLead texted, emailed, or called you, it did so on behalf of a business you contacted (for example, by submitting a form, responding to an ad, or calling them). That business is responsible for your information; AfterLead processes it as the business’s service provider, on its instructions.

  • To stop text messages, reply STOP.
  • To stop emails, use the unsubscribe link in the email.
  • To stop calls, tell the agent on the call or use any contact method in the message you received.
  • For access, correction, or deletion requests, contact the business you inquired with. If you contact us instead, we will forward your request to that business and cooperate with it.

The fastest path is always the business you contacted, since it controls your information. You can also email hello@afterlead.ai and we will pass your request along and help the business respond.

3.The two roles we play

  • As a controller. For our website, our demo and discovery forms, and our direct relationship with the businesses that use AfterLead, we decide how and why information is used. This notice governs that information.
  • As a service provider and processor. When a business becomes a customer, it connects information about its own leads so we can follow up on its behalf. For that lead information, the customer is the controller and AfterLead is the processor. We handle it only on the customer’s documented instructions and under our agreement with the customer, not for our own purposes.

4.Information we collect

From visitors, and from customers and their teams (account data): name, email address, phone number, business name and details, login and authentication data, configuration content (scripts, FAQs, qualification questions, offers, pricing), and billing information. Payment card details are collected and stored by our payment processor, Stripe; we do not store full card numbers. When you submit a form on our site, we also keep consent records, including your consent state and the IP address and timestamp of your submission, so we can show that you opted in.

From leads (processed on the customer’s behalf): name and contact details submitted to the customer, the source of the inquiry, conversation content across SMS, email, and phone (including call recordings and transcripts), appointment and booking details, qualification answers such as budget, timing, location, and the service requested, outcome status, and related fields synced to or from the customer’s CRM.

Automatically: log and usage data for the website and app (IP address, browser and device information, pages viewed, actions taken), and cookies or similar technologies needed to run and secure the website and app and to measure marketing performance.

5.How we use information

  • To provide the service: responding to, qualifying, following up with, and booking appointments for leads on the customer’s behalf across SMS, email, and phone.
  • To run our own demo: sending the demo follow-up across SMS, email, and phone using the contact details you give us, and scheduling a sales conversation if you want one.
  • To operate AI features: conversation content is processed by AI models to generate responses, place and handle calls, transcribe recordings, and summarize interactions.
  • To operate accounts: authentication, billing, support, and service notifications.
  • To maintain records: consent, opt-out, delivery, and interaction records, including for compliance and dispute resolution.
  • To improve the service: analytics, debugging, quality review, and de-identified, aggregated benchmarking.
  • To market AfterLead itself: only to prospective and existing customers, never to customers’ leads.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use customers’ lead data to market to those leads for anyone other than the customer they contacted, and we do not use it to build our own marketing lists.

6.Consent for our demo and sales outreach

When you check the consent box and submit a form on our site, you are explicitly opting in to receive follow-up messages and calls from AfterLead at the number you provide, including messages sent using automated technology. This is for our own demo and sales follow-up. Standard message and data rates may apply, and consent is not a condition of any purchase. Submitting the demo form is also your opt-in to email follow-up.

You can opt out at any time:

  • Reply STOP to any SMS
  • Use the unsubscribe link in any email we send
  • Tell our agent or representative on a call
  • Email hello@afterlead.ai

We honor opt-outs across all channels promptly. Once you opt out, we will not contact you again about the demo unless you opt back in.

7.AI, calls, and recordings

Our service, and our own follow-up, use AI to generate SMS, email, and voice content. Calls with the AfterLead service may be recorded and transcribed to operate the service, for quality, and for record-keeping; where a call is recorded, we provide notice on the call. The voice agent identifies itself as an AI assistant.

AI-generated content can contain mistakes. Our terms explain how responsibility for AI output is handled.

8.How we share information

We share personal information only with:

  • Service providers (subprocessors) that help us run the service, bound by contracts limiting their use of the data. The current list is below.
  • The customer whose leads we service: conversation history, recordings, transcripts, outcomes, and booking data are shared with (and synced to the systems of) the business the lead contacted.
  • Legal and safety recipients when required by law, to enforce agreements, or to protect rights, safety, or the integrity of the service.
  • A successor in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this notice.

9.How long we keep information

We retain demo and inquiry submissions for up to 24 months so we can follow up and keep proof of consent on file. We keep account data for as long as the customer’s account is active plus the period needed for legal, billing, and dispute purposes.

Lead data is retained while the customer’s subscription is active. After a customer relationship ends, the customer may request an export for 30 days; we then delete personal data within 90 days, except records we are legally required or permitted to keep (such as consent, opt-out, billing, and dispute records) and de-identified aggregates. You can ask us to delete information sooner by emailing hello@afterlead.ai; we will route requests about a customer’s leads to that customer.

10.Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under United States state privacy laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the CPRA, and similar laws in other states, including:

  • Access to the information we hold about you
  • Correction of inaccurate information
  • Deletion of your information
  • A copy of your information (portability), where applicable
  • Opt-out of marketing communications
  • Leads: because we process your information as a service provider to the business you contacted, please direct requests to that business; we will support it in honoring your request. You can always opt out of communications directly (STOP, unsubscribe, or ask on the call).
  • Customers and visitors: contact us at hello@afterlead.ai and we will respond as required by applicable law. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

11.Children

The service is for businesses and is not directed to anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.

12.Security

We use commercially reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including encryption in transit, encrypted credential storage, role-based access controls, and audit logging. No system is perfectly secure; please protect your account credentials.

13.Users outside the United States

AfterLead is based in and operates from the United States, and the website, demo, and service are intended only for businesses and individuals in the United States. We do not offer the service to, or target or monitor, individuals in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom. If you are outside the United States, please do not use the website, submit the demo form, or send us personal information.

14.Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies needed to run and secure the website and app, plus Google Analytics 4 to understand traffic patterns and measure marketing performance. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes usage data such as pages viewed, approximate location, and device and browser information to produce aggregate reports about how the site is used.

We do not enable Google’s advertising features, and we do not use cookies or analytics for cross-site or cross-context behavioral advertising. You can opt out of Google Analytics across sites with Google’s browser opt-out add-on.

We also use Google reCAPTCHA on our demo and contact forms to protect them from spam and automated abuse. reCAPTCHA runs in the background when you interact with those forms and collects device and usage information to tell humans from bots. Your use of reCAPTCHA is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

15.Changes to this notice

We may update this notice from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new “Last updated” date. For material changes affecting customers we will provide notice by email or in the app, and material changes affecting the demo form will be highlighted on the form before you submit.
